Focus and Concentration
The mind naturally moves between things. This meditation trains the ability to notice distraction and return to one chosen point, gently and repeatedly. The point is not perfect concentration but practice with returning. Use this exercise before studying, writing or a task that matters to you.
Choose one simple focus: the feeling of your hands resting or the sight of a small object.
The timer is silent by default. Spoken guidance uses your device's built-in voice, not a prerecorded MP3. Voice availability, pacing and pronunciation vary.

Follow the steps at your own pace. Each cue appears at the indicated point in the session; natural pauses between cues allow time for reflection.
- Choose one simple focus: the feeling of your hands resting or the sight of a small object.
- Place attention gently on that focus. There is no need to squeeze the mind into silence.
- When a thought interrupts, notice it and return. This return is the exercise.
- Repeat a useful thought: One thing at a time is enough for this moment.
- Choose the first small step of your next task and begin with calm attention.
